Sascha, one of TipTap’s marketing interns, catches up with Radio Show Host Danny Martignetti.
After listening to Danny on the radio for quite some time, I was excited to finally see the place where the show comes together. As we walked down the hall, on my left was the studio where Danny hosts his show, “The Lounge,” equipped with six microphones, a sound studio and chairs for the guests. I had never been inside a studio and the atmosphere was amazing.

Sascha: Hey Danny! Can you briefly introduce yourself?
Danny: I am a Boston native and graduate of Dean College in Franklin. Dean College is where I started to work on my very first commercial radio station (Power 88.3 FM WGAO). I started one of two internships at Dean, at JAM’N 94.5 back when it was at the legendary Bear Hill Road in Waltham.
I am a huge SNL fan and had the opportunity to be on the set of SNL and many other productions around the Boston area. My favorite color is BLUE as its COOL and always enjoy having a good laugh at either your or my expense :)
Sascha: How did you first get started in the entertainment/media industry? You now have your own Radio show, “The Lounge.” Can you tell us what you are currently working on?
Danny: When I was 12 years old, I had a fascination with the DJs on the radio. Particularly some of Boston’s legends, like Lady D and the late Vinni Pruzzi aka “Disco Vinni”. That’s when I knew I wanted to be in radio industry. I have always had to work hard to get what I wanted in the industry and thus grew a great appreciation for radio. The Lounge is a show that allows me to be myself on a FreeForm station in Boston.

The Lounge which has a variety of guests and performers, such as local and international musicians, a prominent television personality and comedian, Brian Balthazar, and even being able to conduct an interview with the legendary actress and musician Conny Van Dyke, of Los Angeles. I have always shown a sense of humor no matter what the situation, and have a knack of being at the right place at the right time. I have always been very fortunate to be surrounded by the support of well established artists, they have been integral with my progression.
Sascha: You have been using TipTap for a while now; with the new release what is your favorite new feature?
Danny: I like how you are now able to post links onto the tapestry, and the entire concept with re-tapping is genius. I also like the quizzes such as the environment and flair quiz. Funny thing is I scored in the below percentile on every quiz, kind of reminds me of my grade schools days. [Laughs.]
Sascha: What is your favorite Tap on the website you have come across?
Danny: I would have to say the Tap by “The Wig Music” that shows the Dj Night Life.

Sascha: We have a little game at the office: “Would you TAP that?” If you had to choose the best burger to TAP, what restaurant would it be from?
Dan: Wild Willy’s Burger in Watertown, MA.
Sascha: What destination vacation would you TAP?
Dan: Italy, hands down. Been there three times in my life and had my passport under the mattress ready to go every time!
Sascha: Which beer or cocktail would you TAP?
Dan: Woodchuck Draft Cider.
